Job Summary
As a Finance Intern, you will serve as a foundational member of the Accounting team, bridging the gap between daily record-keeping and high-level financial analysis. Your role ensures the integrity of the company’s financial health by maintaining accurate books, ensuring compliance with global standards (IFRS/GAAP), and providing the data-driven insights necessary for month-end reporting and future budgeting.

What will you be doing?

• The "Close" Process: Supporting the team through high-pressure month-end and year-end closing cycles to ensure all financial activity is recorded.

• Accuracy Control: Performing account reconciliations and audits to catch discrepancies and verify that every transaction is valid.

• Performance Reporting: Preparing financial summaries and variance reports—identifying the "why" behind the difference between actual spending and planned budgets.

• Strategic Support: Assisting in the creation of budgets and forecasts to help the organization plan for the upcoming fiscal periods.

• Policy Stewardship: Ensuring all financial activities align strictly with internal controls and professional accounting standards.

• Academic Dedication: Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s level).

• Technical Literacy: A firm grasp of IFRS or GAAP principles and a deep understanding of how the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement interact.

• Excel Mastery: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to handle large datasets and complex formulas efficiently.

• An Eye for Detail: Exceptional numerical accuracy—you’re someone who spots a rounding error from a mile away.

• Organizational Prowess: The ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining a disciplined, methodical approach to your work.
